Our brains are like a computer that is hardwired into our bodies and just like our computers that need to be rebooted from time to time we can benefit from a reboot ourselves. 

Here are a few ways to reboot your nervous system when you are in a state of overwhelm and are seeking calm and clarity. 

  1. Take a seat at your kitchen table or desk at work and rest your head on your folded hands for 6 slow deep breaths.
  2. Lay down on the floor and place your legs up the wall so your body is in an L shape and take 6 slow deep breaths.
  3. Acupressure rings can be valuable in calming and rebooting the nervous system. If you have an acupressure ring it can be useful to move the ring up and down a finger for about 30 seconds or until there is a warm, tingly feeling and then move on to the next finger and repeat until you feel calm.
