We get so busy and stuck in our day to day routines, with appointments, work, paying bills, cleaning house and just taking care of everyone and everything that we sometimes forget to BREATHE! You can’t take care of everyone else if you don’t first take care of yourself. I am sure this is something you have heard many times, and it is easy to say but not always easy to do. I have found that there is great value in taking a few moments to yourself to just breathe. You don’t need an hour and you don’t need a special space for meditation although that would be wonderful! You can take 10 seconds and just focus on breathing while in the shower, driving to or from work, hide in the pantry for a few moments, get creative! Sometimes while I am inhaling I will think of something beautiful like a sunset or the ocean, maybe a wild animal or bird and when I exhale I imagine all of the worry, stress, whatever it may be that has been troubling me simply being lifted away in a balloon never to be seen again and I have found this to be life changing so I wanted to share it with you.
